Hello. I’m a 32 year old mother of 3, and I had the Essure procedure done a year and a half ago. Since then, I have experienced very frequent UTI’s, random pain in the lower pelvic region (on both sides), and breast pain (I’m talking the kind of breast pain we get during pregnancy). In the pamphlets I was given before having the procedure done, the only side effects listed were ‘not getting pregnant, and possible heavy cramping during that time of the month.’ It wasn’t until recently that I started to look more into the procedure I had done, and research the side effects. The things I’ve mentioned are on that list….Maybe it’s coincidence that I’m having these issues. Maybe it’s not. But after reading these other stories, I thought I would share my input. I’m interested to see if this is because of Essure, or completely unrelated. In order to have the procedure reversed, I’d have to travel to North Carolina. I live in small town Illinois. Besides that, the reversal procedure sounds horrible, and I’m not sure I’m up for that. Oh, lets not mention that it costs like $6000 or more to have it reversed. I would like to think that if a woman is having such issues because of the procedure, and a doctor can sign off on the fact that her symptoms are caused from Essure, the manufacturer should have to eat that cost. Just my opinion. Anyway, that’s my story.
